PRESIDENTS’ MESSAGE
Dear Friends and Supporters, lovely greetings and thank you so much for taking time to visit our website in order to know more about us.
I am honored to share with you the journey and mission of Rebuild Rural African Network (ReRAN), a Christian charity organization founded in 2012 and proudly registered in Uganda. What began as a professional association dedicated to humanitarian aid and development cooperation across Africa has grown into a lifeline for the most vulnerable in our rural communities!!
Prompted by the overwhelming needs we witnessed—persistent poverty, soaring rates of teenage pregnancy, the ongoing HIV/AIDS epidemic, and heartbreaking cases of child neglect and abuse—we registered the neediest of the needy to receive holistic support. Through sacrificaial giving and generosity of friends, we have been able to offer vital livelihood skills training, nutritional support, health services, and educational opportunities, all rooted in Christian compassion and dignity.
As we look to the future, we invite you to continue this journey with us. Together, we can expand our programs, reach more villages, and bring the hope of Christ—and real, lasting change—to every corner of rural Uganda and beyond. Thank you for standing with ReRAN and for investing in the futures of God’s precious children.
I hope you found something helpful or informative. All of us at reran welcome your feedback and hope you will contact us if you need more information.
Best Regards,
Ongom Geoffrey Kaunda
Executive Director.
PROFILE
Active in Uganda, we’ve been connecting youth with the tools and resources to be healthy and productive.
We continue to be the premier youth organization working to enhance the contribution of youth in redefining their role in development, education, leadership, employment and in mainstreaming the youth agenda in Uganda.
Through schools, universities and community outreach programs, we do engage the youths and communities in development processes through empowering them with knowledge and fundamental principles of effective participation and creating engaged citizens through advocacy, information sharing and transformative education.
reran's Brief History
Rebuild Rural African Network (reran) is a national, non-partisan and non-profit Civil Society Organization registered in Uganda as a Non-Governmental Organization. reran was founded in 2010 as an independent youth initiative with the overall mission to provide a platform where young people and their communities can share skills, participate in promoting human rights awareness while exploring innate abilities towards lasting development on a foundation of equity. It was conceived by a group of young people, then student leaders in Uganda’s public Universities, who during the formative days of reintroduced plural politics in Uganda were concerned about the status of the country’s democracy, social and economic development and the general wellbeing of young people in Uganda.
reran has evolved into a premier youth organization, registering phenomenal growth in stature through fostering positive change by mobilizing youth consciousness and nurturing young ethical leadership across the Republic. Today, reran has, to its credit, an increased youth consciousness through participation in critical development processes, enhanced visibility of young people occupying leadership positions in various sectors and the proliferation of youth led groups aimed at making a difference.
OUR MISSION
To provide a platform where young people and their communities can share skills, participate in promoting human rights awareness while exploring innate abilities towards lasting development on a foundation of equity.
OUR VISION
The youth we serve today become tomorrow’s advocates and mentors creating social change, individually and collectively.
VALUES
Young people are at the centre of our work. Locally, our youth-oriented campaigns and outreach initiatives are grounded in the belief that every young person’s contribution, no matter how small, deserves to be valued and honored.
